RRCHNM To Host DH2024 Conference
We are thrilled that in just about a year from now, RRCHNM and the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO) will be bringing DH2024 to Washington, D.C.!
The annual ADHO Digital Humanities Conference is the central and largest event of the international DH community and unites scholars from across the globe, presenting them with a unique opportunity for the exchange of their work and ideas and the fostering of future collaborations. In 2024, approximately 1,000 people from around the globe are expected to attend DH2024 from August 6 – 9. This will be the first time the conference has been held in the United States in a decade.
The conference theme “Reinvention & Responsibility” reflects the particular challenges and complexity the global DH community has faced over the years. Responsibility is a call-to-action to address inequities and injustices which predated the global pandemic but which have increasingly been brought into sharp relief, while reinvention is a call to respond with intentionality in order to better meet the needs of our communities.
RRCHNM is honored to be hosting the 2024 conference at George Mason University’s Arlington Campus, minutes from Washington, D.C. Visit our conference website for more details, and follow DHinDC2024 on Twitter for the latest updates.
